Last Day of School & Transition Day
Last day of the 2025-2026 school year at Sands Montessori. Students in Kindergarten and 3rd grade visit their new classroom community for the next school year.
Playdate at the Playscape
Join other members of the Sands community for an informal hangout after school.
One Friday a month we will host a Playdate at the Playscape after school (4-5:30 pm) for children to have unstructured free play, while parents can relax and be in community with each other.

Sands is excited to be hosting Sundaes with Shauna May 3, 12-1pm in the Sands Cafeteria. This event is designed for parents and community members to share feedback, ask questions of the CPS Superintendent, and spend time engaging with her directly.
Rudder (PTO) Meeting
All are welcome! Meetings are held in the Sands Media Center (library).
Please join us at the SMPO meeting on 4/21 at 6:30pm in the Sands Library. In April of each year, we vote on the incoming Rudder leadership positions and every parent/caregiver has a vote.
Sands Community Carnival
The annual Spring Carnival is quickly approaching and as usual, it truly takes a village! This is an easy and fun way to get your Montessori volunteer hours in! Sign up for a slot so we can continue this tradition for the community. Have a teen who needs volunteer hours? They can sign up as well!

Swing into the Mt. Washington Chipotle on Wednesday, April 8 from 4p to 8p and raise some money for Sands!

Future Clark Student Welcome Night at Sands
We’re excited to welcome families of current 6th graders who will be joining Clark Montessori next year. Please join us for a parent gathering on March 18 from 7–8 PM in the Sands Montessori cafeteria to connect with other families and learn more about the transition to 7th grade.
