Our school prides itself on being a wonderful Montessori environment for students to learn and grow. Sands Montessori expects families to volunteer 4-6 hour in and around the school to ensure we continue to provide the best environment for the students.

Feel free to share this with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family friends who are interested in helping Sands Montessori!

Current One-Time Opportunities

Help Sands Montessori earn money while having a little fun at Oktoberfest Sept 17 - 20! Volunteers are needed to staff the beer booth during the festival. Sands Montessori receives funds for the volunteer hours worked, making this a fun and easy way to support our school while pitching in at a great community event!

  • Join the Rudder or a Committee

    SMPO is always looking for more volunteers, committee members, and leaders. Learn more about various roles. Whether for the whole school year or a specific event, lend your time and talents to benefit the Sands community. Rudder nominations open now!

  • Be a Room Representative

    Each classroom community benefits from a Room Representative to disseminate information from SMPO, gather volunteers or donations for specific events, and act as a liaison with SMPO. Being a room parent is a low-lift way to support our students. The following classrooms are in need of a room parent:

  • Read With or Tutor Students

    Spend some time in a classroom having a student read to you or tutoring in math facts or other areas. Adults who volunteer directly with students need a security badge issued by Cincinnati Public Schools.
