Cincinnati Public School hosts first-ever facility dog at Sands Montessori
Say hello to Dug, our Sands Circle Tail facility dog!
Did you know that Sands is the first school in our district to have our very own facility dog? Fur real. Meet Dug!
Facility Dogs are specially trained to provide physical, social, cognitive, or emotional assistance to community members in schools/classrooms, courthouses, sober living homes, funeral homes, hospice centers, and more.
Circle Tail trains and places facility dogs in various school systems in the Greater Cincinnati area. These dogs have gone through at least a year of specialty training and have the capacity to assist and participate in the school system to help support children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
